>With E not up for much today as she’s still suffering from tonsilitis we decided to make a recipe out of the cookbook she got for Christmas.
E chose honeycomb and as we had all the ingredients in the house it was a very good choice.
You will need:
butter for greasing
5 tbsp caster sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1. Grease a baking tin with butter. It says to use a square 18cm (7 inch) baking tin (didn’t have one so improvised with a loaf tin and that was fine)
2. Put the sugar and syrup into a saucepan over a medium heat and bring to the boil, then let it simmer for 3 – 4 minutes until it turns golden brown.
