>As it’s my weigh in day tomorrow and my mum will be coming over in the evening to get weighed and measured, I have been thinking of what to cook. I’ve decided on slimming world chips and steak with peppercorn sauce. I’ve made this plenty of times and it’s absolutely gorgeous, far better than anything you’ll ever get out of a packet and so easy to make – what makes it even better is it’s Syn free if you’re on Slimming World!
You will need:
1 onion, finely diced
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
312ml/11 fl oz chiken stock
1 tbsp crushed peppercorns
1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
198g/7oz very low fat fromage frais
1. Place the onion and garlic in a pan with the stock in a pan and boil.
2. Reduce the heat, add the peppercorns and worchestershire sauce and simmer for 15-20 minutes until slightly reduced and thickened.
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the fromage frais and season.
4. Keep warm until ready to serve, but don’t place it back on the heat or it may curdle.
